Starbow plane forced to make an emergency landing at Ghana's international airport

Domestic airline Starbow has seen one of its planes forced into an emergency landing at the Kotota International Airport.

The airline says no casualties have been confirmed.

An official report will be released on the incident after their technical team assesses the situation, that is according to sources within the Aviation Ministry of Ghana.

There are rumours that the forced landing was caused by bad weather at the time of the take-off.

But some sources at the Kotoka Airport have also indicated that the flight, which was set to take off to Kumasi, skidded off the runway in the direction of the nearby Air-force base, its engines suddenly shut down.

Efforts to get a response from Starbow Airlines have so far been unsuccessful.
