Chromecast devices offer one of the best streaming experiences, so we wouldn’t be surprised if it’s one of your top choices for streaming dongles. Apple products don’t commonly play well with non-Apple products, though. iOS users might be wondering if you can cast on a Chromecast from iPhone. Let’s find out together!

While you may think Apple devices won’t play nicely
with Google Chromecast dongles, these actually work perfectly together. Not
only can you use an iPhone to stream content to a Chromecast device, but you
can even set one up using the iOS Google Home app. This means you can user your
iPhone with Chrome device from beginning to end.
There are some software requirements, though. Your
iPhone will need to be running at least iOS 14 or later. Additionally, you will
need an HDMI-capable TV, and Wi-Fi connection for both devices to access.
The only thing an iPhone can’t officially do is mirror

Setting up a Chromecast using an iPhone
Let’s get started with Chromecast first. With a brand-new Chromecast, you will need to go through the set-up procedure, which you can do straight from your iPhone.
1. Download the Google Home app on your iPhone. Set it up with your Google account, if you haven’t.
2. Plug your Chromecast device into your TV via HDMI, and to an outlet using the included power cable.
3. Let the Chromecast device turn on.
4. In the case of the Chromecast with Google TV, you will be asked to pair the remote. Press and hold the Back and Home buttons until the remote’s LED lights up.
5. Pick your language.
6. Now it’s time to go to your iPhone. Open the Google Home app.
7. Tap on the + icon.
8. Select Set up devices.
9. Pick New devices.
10. Pick your location and hit Next.
11. The app will start looking for nearby devices in pairing mode. When it finds the Chromecast, select Next.
12. Tap Scan code. Scan the QR code on your TV.
13. The iPhone will pair with the Chromecast. Accept all terms and conditions.
14. Pick the room your Chromecast will live in and hit Next.
15. Pick the Wi-Fi network you want the Chromecast to connect to, the hit Next again. Let the Chromecast connect to Wi-Fi.
16. You will be requested to sign into your Google account. Hit Continue on your iPhone
17. Once signed in, Accept the Privacy Policy terms.
18. Google Home will give you tips, ask you to Allow certain permissions, and help you personalize your experience. Follow instructions.
19. That’s it! Your Chromecast is ready to be used. If you have a Chromecast with Google TV, the TV screen will walk you through the process of setting up the remote’s volume and power control for your television. It will also take some time to install apps.

time, it’s time to Chromecast from your iPhone. Here is how it is done.

launch it.

Find the Chromecast icon and tap on it.

You can select which device to cast to.
